New from August 2020: Yoga classes in English with experienced teacher
These classes will be taught in accordance with the method developed by BKS Iyengar, one of the pioneers introducing Yoga to the West. Brigitta, who will be teaching the course was a student of Iyengar himself back in the 1970’s.
Iyengar yoga is a form of hatha yoga where asana (physical/active poses) and pranayama (breathing) are an important part of the practice. The focus is on precise alignment, sometimes using equipment, and paying special attention to timing and sequencing. This practice has many aspects: from dynamic through to restorative and every individual can find their place, whether very fit or in need of more remedial practice.
